Tennis Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

I'm excited to announce that our teaching assistants this year will be Jane Stewart and Nick Adamou and Holly Gottsegan. Callan Jacobus will also be on staff as an Intern.

Jane will join us following a stellar Junior year at Cornell University playing D1 tennis. She had an impressive 11-5 record this year as she fulfills the promise of her earlier years as a young player. When she graduated high school she was the number one recruit in CT and was ranked in the top Ten of all of New England.  We are lucky to have her participation as her level of skill place her amongst the most elite tennis players in all of the United States. She will be the Head Assistant filling the large sneakers left vacant as Charlie Van Doren matures into endeavors far and wide.

Nick Adamou plays #2 on the New Milford High School team.  Nick is no stranger to CHLA as he has played JTT USTA for a number of years and been at a number of matches at our Club.  His playing style and technique are reminsicent of Rafa Nadal as he is a lefty with beautiful, sweeping and graceful strokes. Please join me in welcoming him to our courts where he will be part of the summer long Adult and Youth clinic offering filling the sneakers left vacant by Audrey Ellen as she navigates her way into the wider world.

Holly Gottsegan, daughter of Jane Barnet and Paul Gottsegen, will fill-in for the first and last week of the program. Holly has been a rising junior player for many years. In the last several years her game has matured along with her strength and stamina. She has solid ground strokes and a competetive level play.

Callan Jacobus will be our Junior Intern. His enthusiasm for the sport and high-level of acomplishment with the fundamentals make him a perfect choice to become part of the teaching team this summer.
